Chapelwave \/ <\/em>Southern Electronic Rock\u00a0<\/em><\/h4>

To define their music, shaped by a wide range of styles and influences, Old Ships coined the term \u201cchapelwave\u201d. This musical genre blends electronic textures, rock and the emotional depth of Americana and gospel. It draws inspiration from spiritual and religious themes, within a dark and tense atmosphere, to create an original and visceral sound.<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Old Ships was born in a house on a hill, among tangled cables, synth loops and hurried guitar riffs. At first, Old Ships was one. Now, they are five. A harness of crossing paths, of hands warmed by amps, of musicians born on stage yet carrying a new energy. Each with their own story and one common goal: the live performance.<\/p>

The songs written by Vlad evolve, enriched by the other four, ready to come alive before an audience. Electronic, rock, folk, Native American chants\u2026 nothing is there for decoration, but because it had to be.
It\u2019s an improbable mix, but it works. You might think of Depeche Mode for the marriage of guitars and synths, Nick Cave for the taste of storytelling, or the Noisy scene for the sometimes sonic approach \u2014 but above all, Old Ships is an original project to discover with no preconceptions.<\/p>

\u201cOld Horse\u201d<\/em> was the first gallop. A dark, intense chant carried by a black-and-white video that won multiple awards, including the Grand Prix of the prestigious ISFMF Festival.
It could have remained discreet, but it started making noise. Then came the ethereal \u201cSeasons\u201d<\/em>, the danceable \u201cDeath in the Club\u201d<\/em>, the haunting cover of R.E.M.\u2019s \u201cDrive\u201d<\/em>, and the frontal charge of \u201cWe Pray Our Saviour\u201d<\/em>, a gospel anthem torn apart by black metal guitars.<\/p>

Now, Old Ships is a team of five musicians, confident, heads held high. The sound opens, tightens, saturates, then breathes again. The album is coming. But first, the concerts.
Old Ships is not here to repeat what has already been said.<\/p>
